Search on for arsonist who set fire to casino furniture

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Reno Fire Department is trying to locate the man suspected of setting furniture on fire inside the Club Cal Neva Hotel Casino on East 2nd Street.

It happened Tuesday, November 28, around 3 a.m.

Investigators say the man attempted to set multiple fires including lighting matches and setting them on slot machines, on slot chairs, and in planters.

He finally successfully ignited a piece of casino furniture. According to authorities, he then returned to the scene of the fire and watched efforts to extinguish it.

Reno Fire is concerned the individual may return and this could be a mock run for a larger event.

If you recognize the man, you're asked to call the Reno Fire Department, Fire Prevention Bureau at 334-2300 or you can remain anonymous and receive a reward by forwarding information through Secret Witness at 322-4900.
