Reno Fire Department rescues rafter in Truckee River

RENO, NV (KOLO)-- The Reno Fire Department responded to a report of a person in a boat stuck in the rapids of the Truckee River between Arlington Boulevard and Sierra Street Thursday July 4th.

Two fire department swimmers went into the water to assist the boater and had him out by 5:30 p.m. they say he was stuck on an embankment.

Rescuers say he had been drinking.
