Reno Bowls for Rhinos event set for today

By  |

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Join Reno’s brand new Northern Nevada Chapter of American Association of Zoo Keepers for a great night of fun at the National Bowling Stadium. Zoo Keepers throughout the U.S. and Canada invite YOU to join them to bowl, have fun, and raise funds for the conservation of endangered rhinos, cheetahs and the ecosystems they inhabit.

Rhinos and cheetahs have lived on Earth for more than 50 million years, but may not survive the next 50. Rhinos are poached for their horns and poaching is being conducted by sophisticated international criminal syndicates that smuggle horns to Asia. 100% of proceeds of this event goes to conservation of rhinos and cheetahs.

EVENT: Family and Team Bowling Saturday 5:30 – 11PM
Tickets: include the cost of bowling equipment and 2 games: $18.00 per person.

Since 1990, AAZK has raised more than $7 million through Bowling for Rhinos. All proceeds go to supporting rhino sanctuaries in Indonesia, Sumatra and Kenya, and to Action for Cheetahs in Kenya.
