RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) has unveiled a new bus that will soon be seen on the streets of the Truckee Meadows.

The double decker bus will be part of three week demonstration to evaluate how the bus operates. During the test, the RTC will use the bus on the RAPID Lincoln Line, Routes 5, 7 and 12, and the Regional Connector to Carson City.

Because of the vehicle's height and weight, there are some roads where the bus cannot operate.

There is no fare box on the bus, so riders will be able to take the bus for free.

Before it is available to the public, RTC drivers will take the bus on test runs to ensure safety.
