Nevada Highway Patrol says the crash happened about 6:35AM at McCarran Boulevard and Greg Street in Sparks.

NHP's preliminary investigation indicates the ambulance was headed south on McCarran approaching Greg Street with emergency lights and siren on. The ambulance driver slowed approaching the intersection and began to travel across Greg Street, continuing southbound on McCarran. The driver of a pickup headed west on Greg Street entered the intersection at the same time. The front of the ambulance hit the right rear of the truck, causing the truck to overturn onto its roof.

The driver of the Chevrolet was taken as a precaution to a hospital, but no injuries were reported by that driver or either occupant of the ambulance. There were no patients onboard the ambulance.

NHP says the crash investigation is ongoing and has not determined who was at fault. Witnesses are being sought. If you have any information about the crash, you are asked to contact Trooper Matthew Thompson of the Nevada Highway Patrol at 775-687-9600 or matthew.thompson@dps.state.nv.us.
