Carson City missing boy found safe

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO)-- UPDATE: Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong says the boy has been found; it appears he was a runaway and was trying to walk to Reno. He is safe and unhurt, and has been turned back over to his family.

Brendan Hubbs-Whitney is described as 4 feet tall and 90 pounds, and wearing a blue shirt, a navy blue sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots.

The boy was last reported seen when he returned home from school about 2:30 p.m. May 16, 2018, the sheriff’s office says. He was reported missing about 6:30 p.m. near Betts and Boyles streets, west of the south Carson City auto dealerships and adjacent to the Carson Colony.
