Pres. candidate Klobuchar to talk to vets in Carson

Democratic Presidential candidate

will speak to veterans at a roundtable Thursday.

US Senator Klobuchar of Minnesota will speak to the Nevada Democratic Veterans and Military Families Caucus at 11AM May 30, 2019 at the Fox Brewpub on South Carson Street.

Klobuchar will meet with members of the caucus, local veterans and elected officials to discuss issues facing veterans and her plan to prioritize mental health and combat addiction.

Officials from the Klobuchar campaign and local Democratic Party offices say the public is invited, but there won't be much room, as the event has been targeted specifically to local veterans' groups.

Klobuchar is an attorney who was elected County Attorney for Hennepin County in 1988; Hennepin is the most populous county in Minnesota. She was elected to the US Senate in 2006, and re-elected in 2012 and 2018.
