CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - Smoke seen in the Carson Valley is from a prescribed burn in the Eldorado National Forest.

According to the U.S. Forest Service, crews are burning along the northern ridge above Caples Creek and more smoke is expected.

The project is part of a multi-year 8,800-acre prescribed fire.

People will likely see more smoke over the next several days.
