Man arrested for stabbing man to death; both were homeless

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Police have arrested a homeless man they believe killed another homeless man in downtown Reno.

24-year-old Bryn Bridges is charged with Open Murder. He was arrested November 27, 2018 on unrelated drug charges, then booked for the killing January 2, 2019.

Police have not established a motive for the attack, but they say the men knew each other and had a confrontation before the killing.

52-year-old Duyet P. Tran of Reno was found dead early the morning of November 5, 2018 in the area of Sierra Street and the Riverwalk. He had been stabbed multiple times.

Investigators have not been able to find next of kin and are asking for the public’s help. Anyone who knows the family of Mr. Tran is asked to call 775-785-6114.
