RENO, NV (KOLO) - The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office has released the name of a motorcyclist killed in a crash with a pickup.

According to Reno Police, it happened about 8:30 p.m. May 6, 2019, north of the intersection of North Virginia and McCarran.

Police say 40-year-old Jesse Thompson was riding a stolen dirt bike southbound on North Virginia Street between Moraine and McCarran with no headlight on. They say the pickup driver was driving north and turned left into the sports complex just south of Moraine, colliding with the bike.

Thompson was pronounced dead. The driver of the pickup was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Very soon after the crash, police say another motorcycle crashed into this original crash scene, and that motorcyclist sustained minor injuries.
