Man arrested in Sacramento for Reno stabbing death

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Police say a man is in custody for the murder of a Reno man in February.

Police were called to 33 Park Street February 13, 2019 on a report of a suspicious death. 76-year-old Reno resident Theodore Gibson was determined to have been stabbed, according to the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office.

Police determined 72-year-old Ralph Goad, an acquaintance of Gibson, was a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police say US Marshals in Sacramento tracked and arrested Goad March 8. He is awaiting extradition to Nevada.

No information has been released about a possible motive.
