Plane crash injures pilot north of Reno

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office says one person was hurt in the crash of a small plane about 40 miles north of Reno in the Fish Springs area.
The sheriff’s office reports the pilot on the the Kitfox S7 Super Sport survived the crash.with injuries. The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District described the rescue as an extended extrication.
The pilot has been extricated and transported by Care Flight to Reno for treatment. No one else was on the aircraft.
It happened between the north end of Pyramid Lake and the California state line at about 9:55 a.m. November 3, 2018.
Deputies, search and rescue volunteers, REMSA and the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District responded.
