Make your voice heard on improving pedestrian safety

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The members of the Northern Nevada Vision Zero Task Force want your input on how to better prevent pedestrian accidents.

KOLOCares is partnering with VIsion Zero to make our community safer.

The goal of Vision Zero is to eliminate roadway deaths by making roads and sidewalks safer for pedestrians. The coalition includes the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County, the City of Reno, the Reno Police Department, the City of Sparks, the Sparks Police Department, the Nevada Department of Public Safety, the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety, the University of Nevada Reno, the University of Nevada Las Vegas, the Washoe County School District, the Nevada Department of Transportation, the Nevada Highway Patrol, REMSA, and the Washoe County Health District.

The results of the survey will be used to guide decision making across Northern Nevada to improve pedestrian safety.
