Pedestrian killed in South Lake Tahoe crash

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, calif. (KOLO)-- One man died Friday after being struck crossing a South Lake Tahoe street, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department reports.

The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. September 28, 2018 in the 2800 block of Lake Tahoe Boulevard west of Tulare Avenue.

The driver was heading east on Lake Tahoe Boulevard when the 65-year-old pedestrian stepped onto the road, police say. The driver hit the man and immediately stopped, police say. He cooperated with police.

Police are not releasing the name of the dead man until family is notified.
