The accident was reported just before 9PM August 9, 2019.

Police say a driver was headed east on Lear Boulevard and hit the woman who was in the median with her child, not in the crosswalk, the Reno Police Department said.

The mother was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not life-threatening. The child was not hit.

Police believe alcohol was involved and they arrested the driver.

Lear Boulevard was closed from Kernite Street to Malachite Court, but has since reopened.
