Over $3,500 raised by Dutch Bros Reno for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northern Nevada

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Dutch Bros Reno says they raised $3,596 for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northern Nevada their annual Buck for Kids event.

The company says each year, they donate $1 from each drink sold to local children’s organizations.

“Our customers are amazing in their support for incredible causes,” said Travis Boersma, CEO and co-founder of Dutch Bros Coffee. “Our kids are our future, and it’s our responsibility to make sure that future is an awesome one!”

The company in a release says Buck for Kids is one of their most popular fundraisers held and the company raised more than $453,000. Since 2006, the annual event has raised more than $2.5 million.

“We’re so proud to support Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northern Nevada in such a meaningful way,” said Matt Deacon, local operator of Dutch Bros Reno. “Our customers are amazing and we’re so happy to give to such an important cause.”

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northern Nevada offers mentoring opportunities between adult volunteers and children.
