RENO, Nev. (KOLO)-- The Reno Fire Department extinguished a brush fire in northwest Reno Sunday morning that threatened buildings.

The fire was reported behind the 6700 block of Alicante Court at about 10:30 a.m. on November 3, 2019.

It burned less than half an acre. Engines protected homes from flames but there were no evacuations.

The Reno Fire Department credited quick action by the four firefighters first on scene who kept flames from spreading to homes.

The fire may have been started by three juveniles seen on video, the fire department said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Reno Fire Department at 775-334-2300.
