RENO, NV (KOLO) The temperature has reached its hottest point of 2019. There are plenty of activities for people across Northern Nevada to enjoy. Some are pleased with the temperatures, while others, such as David Harger, say it's too hot to be outdoors.
"There's no way I would go ride right now. I'm not crazy," Harger says of riding his bicycle in the summer heat.
Those playing in the Biz Ball Tournament in downtown Reno are not intimidated by the heat.
"Nah, I'm not too worried about it. There's a nice breeze so I think that will help cool us off," Josiah Clark, who works at Microsoft and is playing in the tournament, says.
At the Chalk Art Festival, many artists are relieved they are covered by tents.
"Until it reaches 100, I'm okay," artist Kathryn Ramos says.
For most, staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water is how they're beating this heat.
