Nonprofit celebrates grand opening of pediatric therapy clinic

held a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at a new Pediatric Therapy Clinic at 5250 Neil Road Suite 200 with the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce. Tours of the clinic were also given, as well as a reception.
The nonprofit specializes in pediatric rehabilitation services, working with people that deal with physical, intellectual, mental or social limitation, including children that face development delays.
“Sometimes parents noticed that their children aren't hitting their developmental Milestones as sometimes pediatricians notice it daycare centers a head-start there's a variety of different ways that that occurs,” Christine Zach, President and CEO of Capability Health & Human Services said.
The organization offers services from birth, oftentimes accepting patients upon discharge from the NICU, through seniors.
Zach adds that the most frequent developmental milestone the organization sees children having problems with is speech.
"Out of the approximately 700 kids, more than 600 receive speech therapy," Zach said.
Capability Health & Human Services was founded in 1976.
