No injuries after plane goes off runway at Reno-Stead Airport

A pilot and passenger sustained no injuries after a plane went off the runway at Reno-Stead Airport Monday morning.
It happened around 10:45AM on August 12, 2019.
Airport Spokesperson, Brian Kulpin, says the incident involved a Sport Class plane similar to ones flown in the Reno Air Races. According to Kulpin, the plane ran off the end of the runway. There was damage to the plane, but no one was injured. Airport operations are running normally, says Kulpin.
There is no word yet on why the plane went off the runway.
