SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) -- Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza has opened its first location in Sparks, joining the already up-and-running restaurant in south Reno.

The 2,400-square-foot open kitchen restaurant is located at 1370 Big Fish Drive at the Cypress Creek Town Center at Legends. It offers a unique style of pizza with build-your-own or a signature pie for an affordable price. But Blaze Pizza says it's offering the community more than just good food; it's bringing growth and jobs to the area.

"We feel really good that we are providing opportunities for locals to grow with us," Mayer Zahid, franchisee and part-owner of Blaze Pizza, says. "Reno has been booming with all that has been happening with tech and that's allowed for the housing and restaurant industry to grow as well."

"We've hired about 50 people in the last two weeks," Branden Moe, General Manager at Blaze Pizza, says. "We are giving the opportunity for college and even high school kids to make money to spend on their free time, and also teaching them how to work and work ethic."

The Sparks restaurant is built with recycled and sustainable materials, uses eco-friendly packaging, and features energy-efficient lighting. Customers can order in store, or online for pickup.

To celebrate the opening of the company's newest locally-owned and operated Sparks restaurant, anyone who visits Blaze's new location Friday, March 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and follows the brand on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook, will receive a free build-your-own pizza.
