Nevada artists featured in Stremmel Gallery exhibit

Stremmel Gallery is presenting a retrospective exhibition of paintings and sculpture by artists with ties to the Nevada from Jan. 18 to Feb. 15.

“Nevada Artists” features almost 40 artists, including Maynard Dixon, Edward Borein, John Mason, Linda Fleming and Phyllis Shafer.

Jack Bacon will sign copies of his book “Painters of Nevada” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18. The reception is free and open to the public.

The exhibit has work by artists with ties to Nevada from the 1800s to the present. These include: Joan Arrizabalaga ; Ron Arthaud; Tim Bavington; John Belingheri; Bill Bliss; Edward Borein; Robert Brady; Robert Caples; Len Chmiel; Maynard Dixon; Ingrid Evans; Linda Fleming; Jack Fulton; Tom Gilbertson; Tony Gleaton; Bill Howard; Adam Jahiel; Dirk Kenyon; Jean LeGassick; John Mason; Jim McCormick; John Meyer; Richard Misrach; Craig Mitchell; Robert Morrison; Carol Neel; Maurice Nespor; Jeff Nicholson; Dennis Parks; Nolan Preece; Fred Reid; Michael Sarich; Phyllis Shafer; Mick Sheldon; Craig Sheppard; Ted Waddell; and Larry Williamson.
