FERNLEY, NV (KOLO) - The Nevada Highway Patrol has released information about the circumstances that led to the death of a Dayton man when his pickup rolled Sunday night.
NHP says the crash happened on I-80 near Mile Marker 91 outside Fernley about 7:30 p.m. June 16, 2019.
NHP's preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a Ford F-350 pickup towing a box trailer was headed east on 80. The driver hit the left shoulder of the road, then a marker. He spun and overturned, and was thrown from the truck. He had not been wearing a seat belt.
35-year-old Brandon Lindsey was killed, as was his dog. No other vehicles or people were involved.
