NHP seeks witnesses to fatal crash near Parr Boulevard

RENO, NV (KOLO) - The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of a woman killed in a crash Friday night.

Troopers responded shortly before midnight April 26, 2019 to the crash on US-395 at Parr Boulevard.

Troopers' preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta, 23-year-old Melissa Ruhle of Reno, was headed south on 395 north of Parr. She went onto the inside shoulder, hitting the end of a concrete barrier in the center median.

Ruhle was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later. Troopers say she was not wearing a seat belt and is suspected to have been impaired.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is looking for witnesses to this crash.
