Body found in Truckee River

Search crews have recovered a body from the Truckee River along Galletti Way.

Search efforts along Truckee River resumed Wednesday evening for a man seen falling or jumping into the water over the weekend.

Searchers went from the Virginia Street bridge almost to Rock Park over the weekend and did not find anyone. Multiple agencies worked together in the search..

The report came in at 9:19PM May 7, 2016 after someone reported the man went into the water near the Wells Avenue Bridge.

The name of the man has not been released and the cause of death has not been determined.
