The Lassen County Sheriff's Office says California law enforcement has arrested 28 people after an operation into drug and gang activity, and more people are being sought.

The Sheriff's Office says October 3, 2018, as part of a multi-agency operation led by Lassen County and the Susanville Police Department, more than 200 local, state, and federal law enforcement personnel executed 14 state search warrants in and around the Susanville area, as well as outlying areas of Lassen County. The operation targeted alleged methamphetamine and heroin storage and distribution centers operated by what Lassen County says is called the Susanville White Boys gang.

Twenty-five are in custody in Lassen County and three are in custody outside Lassen County, the sheriff's office said.

All cases will be submitted to the Lassen County District Attorney for prosecution.
