Motorcyclist goes off Mt. Rose Highway; driver rescued

RENO, NV (KOLO)-- Rescue crews went down an embankment to get to a motorcyclist who went off the Mount Rose Highway Sunday morning.

Traffic was slowed as the Mount Rose Highway was reduced to one lane, the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District reported. The highway has since reopened.

The accident near the Mount Rose summit happened around 11 a.m. Sunday, July 21, 2019.

The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District transported the patient to a hospital. The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating.
