More dog and cat food needed in Paradise

RENO, Nev (KOLO) Local Pet Evac Pak developers have made three trips to the Paradise, California area, delivering locally-donated dog and cat food. The food is for pets displaced by the fall Camp Fire, which all but destroyed the Butte County city.

Michelle Danielson says all the major animal welfare groups have pulled out, but the need for pet food remains. To fill the need, they are asking for donations of dry dog food or cat food this week.

They plan on making a delivery Sunday January 6, 2019.

”We had gotten ahold of Angels Among Us, which is in Magalia, and they are feeding people. But they didn't have any pet food. So we brought them what we had. That was our third trip and they said please bring back more if you can," says Michelle Danielson, Pet Evac Pak owner.

Danielson says any Scraps Dog Company location will take your donation until Saturday January 5. They are also in need of leashes, pet bed beds, dog dishes, and even dog sweaters.

Danielson says she expects they’ll be making more trips to the Paradise area, during the next couple months, or as the need arises.
