Police still searching for 80-year-old woman kidnapped by her son

RENO, NV (KOLO) - Reno Police are searching for 80-year-old Susan Hillygus who they say was kidnapped from her care facility on Thursday August 8th just before 3 p.m.

Hillygus has dementia and requires medication. She is unable to care for herself, and police say she is non-communicative and is considered endangered.

Police say her 52-year-old son, Roger Hillygus, took her without approval from her legal guardian.

He was last seen driving a white 1994 Honda Accord with NV plates 885YKR.

Investigators think he may be heading to Truckee.

Police describe Susan Hillygus as white, 5 feet, 3 inches tall with a slight build, gray hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a white sweater with blue and gold stripes.

Police described Roger Hillygus as white, 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and a gray and white baseball hat.
