Smoke was reported at the Tripp Drive property shortly after 8AM December 11, 2018. The fire was extinguished quickly and didn't spread to other units, but neighbors evacuated briefly.

The man was arrested nearby after being seen leaving the scene.

Neighbors say this is at least the fifth fire in that condominium.

ORIGINAL STORY: An investigation is underway after a condo fire in Reno. The Reno Fire Department says the fire was reported on Tripp Drive just after 6:45 a.m. Tuesday November, 20, 2018.

Firefighters say the man living in the condo likely started the fire in his living room. The fire did not spread to any other units.

Reno Police say this is the fourth time this month they've responded to this condo for a fire. Officers believe he is starting them on purpose to stay warm because he doesn't have heat in his unit.

The man is in custody and being questioned by police.
