Man killed in camper fire near Washoe State Park

One person is dead following a camper fire near Washoe State Park.
It happened just after 9PM October 3, 2016. The Washoe County Sheriff's Office tells KOLO 8 News Now it was an elderly man who died.
According to WCSO Sgt. Bailey, the fire happened inside a camper shell on a truck parked next to the Washoe State Park office. He says there appears to be nothing suspicious about the death other than the cause of the fire. He says it appears the fire happened so quickly, the man didn't have time to escape.
Crews with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and Washoe County Sheriff's deputies responded. Sgt. Bailey said the State Fire Marshall is taking over the investigation.
Washoe State Park is open Tuesday morning.
