Name released of Wadsworth stabbing victim; no arrest made

WADSWORTH, Nev. (KOLO) -- The Washoe County Sheriff's Office says no one is in custody following a stabbing in Wadsworth.

The victim has been identified as 58-year-old John Whitaker of Olinghouse, Nevada.

About 10:45PM November 27, 2018, deputies were called about the stabbing at a home on Barrel Street near the intersection of Slip Mine Street in Wadsworth. Deputies responded along with officers from the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Police Department. They found Whitaker outside the home; he was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.

Detectives have not identified the attacker or attackers.
