Two Fernley residents have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect related to the overnight disappearance of Camron Ritchson, 8.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office booked William Michael McLean, 24, and Betty Sue Bond, 43, into the Lyon County jail. McLean's bail was set at $2,500 and Bond's bail was $3,500, which included $1,000 bail on an outstanding arrest warrant, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office was not saying what the relationship was between McLean and Bond and Camron, nor what they allegedly did that amounted to neglect.

“I have released what I have,” sheriff's spokesman Michael Carlson said, adding the investigation is ongoing.

Search crews searched for Camron overnight after he was reported missing. They found him healthy May 21, 2016 about a block away from where he was last seen in south Fernley, Carlson said.

“The couple he was staying with notified us when they found out we were looking for him,” Carlson said.
