Lexie's Gift prom closet for high schoolers in need

is helping teens in need of prom dresses, shoes and accessories in the wake of the closure of Aly’s Prom Closet.

Lexie’s Prom Boutique will be at businesses where teens can shop for their high schools' annual proms.

Teens are encouraged to RSVP to Barbie Marcoe at 775-745-2184 for the events:

Tuesday, March 13, 4:00-7:00 p.m., Junior League of Reno, 190 W Huffaker Lane, Reno

AND

Tuesday, March 20, 4:00-7:00 p.m., Jenuane Communities, 5400 Equity Avenue, Reno.

AND

Saturday, March 24, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.,Junior League, Reno

Lexie’s Gift has stepped in to help local teens who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend their annual high school proms. With generous donations from the community, the local non-profit has opened Lexie’s Prom Boutique and has dresses in all sizes, colors and lengths, as well as shoes in all sizes and heights and accessories.

“The prom is something that most high school students look forward to attending,” said Barbie Marcoe, president of Lexie’s Gift.“We want to help those students who can’t afford to purchase these items outright with a gift from Lexie’s Prom Boutique. Students who have recently shopped with us light up when they find something pretty to wear to prom, and that makes us smile.”
