Kings Beach man arrested in 7-Eleven robbery

VIRGINIA FOOTHILLS, NV (KOLO) - The Washoe County Sheriff's Office arrested a King's Beach man accused of robbing a 7-Eleven in the Virginia Foothills.

It happened Friday, August 2, 2019 around 12:30AM at the 7-Eleven on Geiger Grade Road near King Lane.

The sheriff's office arrested 21-year-old Victor Guerra-Lezo about twenty minutes later after finding him hiding near a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch on Geiger Grade Road near High Chaparral Way.

Employees tell authorities, the man who robbed them was armed with a gun and was wearing a red ski mask.

Deputies say Guerra-Lezo was found with a red ski mask, stolen cash, and a gun that had been stolen.

Guerra-Lezo was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on multiple charges, including Robbery with the use of a Deadly Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of Stolen Property, and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

“Great teamwork by our deputies and K9 to find the suspect and track down the evidence that will help ensure he is brought to justice,” Sheriff Balaam said.
