The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is planning to resume paving operations on North Hills Boulevard in the North Valleys starting today, October 31, 2019 through Saturday, November 2, 2019 and on Monday, November 4, 2019, weather permitting.

RTC says during paving operations, North Hills Boulevard will remain open to northbound-only traffic from Beckwourth Drive to Buck Drive.

Lauren Ball with RTC says Beckwourth Drive will be intermittently closed at North Hills Blvd. so crews can pave the intersection and she went onto say RTC is aware of school times and will work to minimize the impact on before- and after-school traffic flow.

Ball says paving operations are temperature dependent and crews can only pave when temperatures are higher than 40 degrees. Paving is expected to continue next week and the project is expected to be completed by mid-November.
