INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (KOLO)-- The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office used its RAVEN helicopter to help rescue an injured snowboarder in the Mount Rose wilderness above Incline Lake on Friday afternoon.

The initial call came in about 2:15 p.m. Washoe County Search and Rescue Volunteers, and the HASTY responded to help the Norther Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District with the rescue.

Due to the steep terrain, RAVEN hoisted the snowboarder to safety. The Nevada Highway Patrol closed the highway so the helicopter could land and transfer the snowboarder to an ambulance.
