I-80 eastbound back open at Soda Springs after big rig fire

SODA SPRINGS, CA (KOLO)- The California Highway Patrol says a tractor trailer overturned in the eastbound lanes of I-80 near Soda Springs and caught fire just after 5:30 a.m. Friday, June 14.

CHP closed the eastbound lanes and diverted traffic for several hours; the road was reopened in the early afternoon.

Emergency crews put out the fire and cleaned about 150 gallons of fuel from the road.

No injuries were reported.
