Man critically hurt in Sparks hit-and-run

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Sparks Police Department is investigating an apparent hit-and-run after a woman reported seeing an injured man lying in the middle of Rock Boulevard near Vance Way.

Police say the woman called 911 to report a body in the road around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018.

Police say the skateboarder who was hit sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital.

Police say the driver left the scene before officers got there and headed north on Rock after hitting the skateboarder.
