SPARKS, NV (KOLO) - A man remains in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash on Pyramid Highway just after 12:30AM Friday, April 12th.

Preliminary NHP investigation indicates a Honda CR-V SUV was stopped northbound on Pyramid, just south of Eagle Canyon, in the left-hand travel lane. The driver of a Dodge Ram pickup hit the rear of the Honda, then drove off.

The driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.

An off-duty Sparks Police officer saw the crash and followed the Dodge as the driver continued northbound, then stopped in a residential area about three and a half miles from the crash scene. The driver was contacted by deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and NHP troopers, then arrested for suspicion of DUI, open container and other crash-related charges. She has been identified as 31-year-old Molly Foster of Sparks.

NHP says the suspect and victim were in a relationship.
