Douglas County robbery, attempted kidnapping investigated

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office said this vehicle looks like a black, older model Chevrolet Tahoe used in crimes in the Gardnerville Ranchos area.

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (KOLO)-- The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has released a photograph of a sports utility vehicle that looks similar to one possibly used in crimes Friday through Monday in the Gardnerville Ranchos area.

The vehicle is a black, older model Chevrolet Tahoe with scratches on the sides. The vehicle was also dirty and has dark windows. It may be related to a robbery and to an attempted abduction of a girl, the sheriff’s office says.

One witness described the driver as Hispanic or American Indian.
