CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Can Republicans go left? Can Democrats go right to the hoop? Those are two questions to be answered when elected officials of both parties meet for the Donkey vs. Elephant Basketball Classic benefiting Seniors in Service. Tip-off is Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Carson City High School, 1111 S. Saliman Road.

The game is often a hotly-contested affair; in the eleven games on record, Republicans lead the series six games to five. The Secretary of State organizes the game traditionally played during the legislative session.

Tickets for the Donkey vs. Elephant Basketball Classic are $10 for adults or $5 for children and seniors, and may be purchased at the door, or online.

A portion of proceeds from the Basketball Classic will be donated to Seniors in Service, a non-profit organization that helps maintain the dignity and productivity of Northern Nevada seniors as they contribute to the children and seniors in our community.
