Five Reno post offices open Sunday for package pickup

The U.S. Postal Service has announced five Reno post offices will be open Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for picking up packages.

They are the Reno Main, Reno Steamboat, Reno Sierra, Reno Peavine and Reno Washington locations.

There will be no retail services Sunday while they are open to pick up packages.

In a statement, the USPS says it expects to deliver about 900 million packages during the holiday season, up from 870 million packages last year. In total, the statement says, the Postal Service will deliver nearly 16 billion letters, cards, and packages from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve.
