One person injured, pets killed in early-morning house fire

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - One person sustained minor injuries after an early-morning house fire in west Reno.

It was reported just after 2AM Thursday, September 12, 2019 on Ambrose Drive.

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District says 5 people got out safely, but one was taken to a hospital for minor burns and smoke inhalation.

Three pets died in the fire, including a dog, cat, and hamster. Fire investigators say three pets are still missing.

The house is a total loss.

An investigation is underway to determine how the fire started.
