Flames were reported at an area in the 2400 block of Sutro Street, near Patton and Tripp, shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday. The fire burned next to an apartment complex, which was not damaged, and cottonwood trees, which could have made the fire much bigger if they had caught fire, though they are scorched. No injuries are reported.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
