Flames were reported at the home on Hidden Oaks Drive about 1:30 p.m. July 8, 2019, according to Central Lyon Fire Chief Rich Harvey. The cause has not been established.

No other homes were damaged by the fire that was mostly confined to the attic, but damage is severe enough that the residents will not be able to stay in it for the time being.
