Authorities in Las Vegas say a fire heavily damaged a vacant downtown apartment building and that the cause is under investigation.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue says there were no injuries from the Friday night fire and that it took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.
Responding firefighters found smoke coming from the building's second and third floors and flames were visible on the second floor.
Firefighters used ladder trucks to shoot large quantities of water into the fire.
Damage was estimated at $500,000.
