Fire at north end of Red Rock Road north of Reno stopped

RANCHO HAVEN, NV (KOLO)-- 5:33 p.m. update: The Scott Fire reached 20 acres and crews have stopped the fire from spreading any more.

3:07 p.m. update: The California Highway Patrol reports U.S. 395 is closed because of a fire burning near U.S. 395 north of the north Red Rock Road exit.

The latest fire coordinates put the fire in California south of Doyle and about 10 miles north of Hallelujah Junction.

2:33 p.m. update: The Scott Fire at the north end of Red Rock Road is 20 acres, according to the Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center.

It is burning in grass.

Original story: Crews are responding to a fire in the Rancho Haven area at the north end of Red Rock Road north of Reno.

The size and cause is not immediately known.
