CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO)-- The Nevada Highway Patrol has released the name of the man killed in a crash on U.S. 50 in Carson City.

It happened Saturday, November 2, 2019 around 3:45PM on U.S. 50 at Deer Run Road on the east side of Carson City.

Troopers say the driver of a Ford Crown Victoria was traveling westbound on U.S. 50 approaching Deer Run Road when they crossed into eastbound lanes, and hit a Ford Ranger head-on, killing the driver, 47-year-old Justin King of Dayton. The driver of a Toyota Prius then hit King's Ranger, forcing the Ranger to roll onto its side.

U.S. 50 was closed in both directions because of the crash and traffic was diverted around the scene.

The NHP is looking for witnesses to the crash. If you have any information, contact the Nevada Highway Patrol Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) at ncwmirt@dps.state.nv.us and reference NHP Case #191100159.
