The Federal Bureau of Investigation served a search warrant at a Reno home Wednesday morning and it turned into a barricaded situation, the FBI said in a statement.
The FBI called out the Reno Special Weapons and Tactics team, which entered the home after failed negotiations, and found a dead person inside, the FBI said.
Several nearby homes were evacuated during the operation in the 3300 block of Thornhill Drive.
The investigation continues, the FBI said, but no further information has been released.
Reno Police earlier reported helping the FBI with a warrant search in the area of Thornhill Drive and Homewood, near McCarran and Caughlin Parkway in west Reno, March 1, 2017.
Police told KOLO 8 News Now this was not a search for a suspect and there was no danger, but during the search, only residents were allowed into the area.
